Hi all,
passt eigentlich nicht so ganz hierhin....es gibt eine brandneue Version des VideoLanClients VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ die ihr Euch unbedingt anschauen _muesst_

Der Resourcen Verbrauch dieses Teils ist traumhaft niedrig zB. bei der Wiedergabe eines DBox Streams oder was damit auch geht ist zB. LiveView wenn ihr mit wingrab streamt....meineIP:31337 unter 'NetzwerkStream'

 * The wxWindows interface is now fully useable as well as Unicode safe

 * New stream output scheme. It is now possible to build a chain of stream outputs allowing for instance to stream and display some content at the same time.
 * The stream output now allows to transcode content on the fly.
 * Fixed major bug that prevented streaming mpeg 1/2 video with pulldown content.
 * SAP/SDP announcing support. (both IPv4 and IPv6)

 * New reset option for the preferences
 * You can set your language in the prefences
 * New video chroma conversion module using ffmpeg
 * Added a Gentoo ebuild to the distribution

laesst sich erahnen was das Teil alles kann und vorher schon konnte....und das alles fuer lau! Ich kann Euch nur empfehlen da mal einen Blick drauf zu werfen...das lohnt sich 100%ig!!!!!

zum Bleistift! Die verwendeten Codecs sind VLC spezifisch und ich hab' mir die noch nicht genau angeschaut, aber laut den Optionen gibt's da eine Einstellung 'Umkodierungs Optionen' wo man den Bild und Audio Codec waehlen kann...sollte also gehen. DIVX spielt das Teil sowieso schon mit traumhaft geringem Resourcen Verbrauch ab. Ich werde heute Abend verschaerft damit spielen...mal sehen ob's klappt!

ja, dann waere TuxVision auch bald Geschichte...wenn die Unterstuetzung fuer Music Choice dabei waere. In einer meiner Visionen hab' ich das (and much more) schon so gesehen

Hab bisher noch nicht viel mit VLC gemacht. Kann mir einer von Euch verraten, wie ich damit das Bild der Box auf den PC bekomme?

...wirf mal wingrabz an und lass die Dateiangabe einfach leer...aber auf streamen klicken. Dann startest Du VLC und unter Datei/Datei oeffnen/Netzwerk ein Haekchen bei 'HTTP/FTP/MMS' machen und die 'IP_deines_Rechners:31337' eingeben....und (5-20) Sekunden spaeter hast Du ein wunderbares Bild u. Ton in geiler Qualitaet so wie er gerade von der Box kommt. Viel besser als mit jeder TV-Karte oder angeschlossenem TV. Und der ResourcenVerbrauch ist weniger als die Haelfte im Vergleich zu TuxVision...einfach nur geil! Das geht auch mit dem normalen MediaPlayer, aber lange nicht so gut wie mit VLC. Manchmal reisst der Stream (bei der alten Version) leider ab....keine Ahnung warum....sollte man aber noch hinterkommen/fixen koennen.

Hi all,
so wie ich das Leth beschrieben habe, funzt das mit der neuen Version 1A
Ohne jeglichen Streamabriss habe ich eben fast eine Stunde lang fehlerfrei gestreamt mit _Ausgabedatei_ ueber VLC und LiveView...sozusagen TuxVision durch die Brust in's Auge
Aber eben weniger Resourcen Verbrauch....allerdings etwas mehr als bei einer aelteren Version...ich hatte so etwa 50% CPU-Last auf meinem 1GHz P3...bei TuxVision war die CPU oft am Anschlag!

Das muesst Ihr Euch unbedingt mal anschauen und testen!!!! Ihr werdet das nicht bereuen....wem's wirklich nicht gefaellt, der bekommt 3MB kostenloses Downloadquota

hi all,
man watt seid Ihr alle droege...ich moechte mal wissen mit was man Euch begeistern kann...

Also bei den Spielereien mit VLC ist mir was aufgefallen:
Wingrabz laueuft, Augabedateiangabe ist leer.
Netzwerktrafficanzeige zeigt wie gewohnt Traffic!
Es wird zu diesem Zeitpunkt nichts in eine Datei geschrieben und trotzdem voller Traffic!
Resyncanzeige ist immer auf 1 egal ob ich mir nun mit VLC den Stream angucke/aufzeicnne oder nicht

Dann sagt mal was dazu!!!!

Ähm, willst Du damit sagen, dass er nur den einen Resync macht, weil der nix in die Datei reinschreibt?

nur wer sich Gefahr begibt kommt darin um wenn ich auf einen Problemsender schalte (WDR3, Das Erste) sieht man das ganze Elend und es gibt auch die ueblichen Resyncs Auch Artefakte im Bild wie ich es eigentlich nur von ggrab kenne...

nee hat nix mit dem 21-Sekunden Problem zu tun. VLC ist auf jeden Fall noch besser geworden und hat noch super viele Moeglichkeiten die ich noch teten kann

Hey petgun, kann man das Programm auch über die Konsole ansprechen und so die Ausgabe eines Streams steuern?

Wenn ja, dann schwebt mir hier folgendes vor:
Da JtG unter anderem die Wingrab.dll nutzt könnte doch auf diesem Weg ein Port geöffnet werden und danach die entsprechenden Parameter via Konsole an VLC weitergegben werden. Somit hätte man eine Live Preview für JtG. Warum das Rad neu erfinden, wenn VLC so ressourcensparend arbeitet. Einen Versuch wäre es sicherlich Wert.
